Encaustic Medium

Waxworks Encaustic Supplies offers encaustic medium that is ready for you to melt and mix with oil paints.  If you prefer, you can purchase the raw materials from us to make your own encaustic medium. Our medium is made with a 5:1 mixture of beeswax to damar, so it can be 'thinned down' by adding more beeswax or microcrystalline wax.  E.g.) add half a pound to create a 7.5:1 ratio.
